We’re excited to offer a limited number of scholarships for two of VitalTalk’s most in-demand virtual courses. Scholarship recipients receive 40% off the total course cost.

Priority Consideration

Scholarships are intended for those who would not otherwise be able to attend VitalTalk courses without receipt of a scholarship. Priority consideration goes to:

  • Applicants working at safety-net hospitals or primarily with underserved patient populations
  • Individuals who identify as members of historically marginalized groups
  • Those with financial need (including applicants with limited or no access to continuing education funds, including nursing, social work, spiritual care, or other professions, etc. applicants from countries outside the US, etc.)

Mastering Tough Conversations Scholarship – Virtual, 2-session only

To be considered, please submit a short application outlining:

  • Why improving your communication skills is of value to you
  • Demonstrated need and benefit from scholarship funding
  • All interested healthcare professionals are eligible to apply.
  • If awarded, you will be able to select your course dates from our open enrollment catalogue for 2026. Scholarships must be used within the 2026 calendar year.

Remaining tuition after scholarship: Physicians – $598, Other healthcare providers – $479

Faculty Development Scholarship – Virtual Only

To be considered, please submit a short application outlining:

  • Your role and how you plan to use VitalTalk faculty training in your educational setting
  • Demonstrated need and benefit from scholarship funding

We invite applicants who are passionate about improving communication in healthcare to apply.

  • Applicants must currently hold an educational role that allows them to participate as teachers of communication skills to others.  
  • Applicants’ role should also include actively providing patient care themselves
  • Applicants must have completed or be actively enrolled in a VitalTalk pre-req communication skills course prior to registering for Faculty Development.
  • If awarded, you will receive a scholarship for specific dates selected through your application
