An advanced pilot course for graduates of the VitalTalk Faculty Development program to continue to grow as communication educators. Deepen your skills around Actor Training, facilitation of the MAP portion of REMAP, and Adaptive Facilitation skills to respond in real time to challenging teaching moments.
This course is open only to graduates of the complete VitalTalk Faculty Development program (R1/R2). Please note: faculty who have taught at least two courses as a small group facilitator will get the most out of this course.

A New Chapter in Faculty Development
For more than 10 years, VitalTalk Faculty Development has prepared clinicians to teach communication skills and build communication programs in their institutions. Over the years, graduates have consistently asked for opportunities to continue developing their facilitation skills beyond the core Faculty Development experience.
Advanced Faculty Development: Facilitation Intensive is a new course created exclusively for graduates of the full VitalTalk Faculty Development program. Designed for experienced VitalTalk Faculty who are actively teaching, this course builds on the foundation developed in Faculty Development (R1/R2) and focuses on continued growth as a communication educator through advanced facilitation approaches and deeper exploration of complex teaching skills.
Core course topics include:
- Actor Training — deepen skills in working with actors to create meaningful, responsive learning experiences
- Advanced Facilitation of the MAP Portion of REMAP — strengthen facilitation approaches for navigating and teaching this complex portion of the framework
- Adaptive Facilitation — develop strategies for challenging teaching moments
